THOMAS R. LIMBURG

Thomas R. Limburg (born 1962 in Zurich) studied business management at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) in Switzerland.

After graduating as lic. oec. HSG with a specialisation in finance and accounting in 1987, Mr. Limburg started to work for an international company in the industry sector, which employed 150 individuals both within Switzerland and abroad. As CEO/CFO and stockholder in this enterprise, cornerstones of his management activity were: the focus on the core business, the sale of no longer core businesses, process optimisation and internationalisation of the company through cooperation.

Following the successful sale of the company in 1998, Mr. Limburg was involved in various SMEs before embarking in 2001 on a move from the industry sector into consulting. Thus, Mr. Limburg accepted a position with an Executive Search company, where he built up the Zurich branch and headed it for 10 years.

As of November 1, 2011, Thomas R. Limburg joined Dr. Thomas A. Biland Executive Search as a partner. Thanks to his broad experience in HR consulting and his extensive, profoundly established network in a variety of fields, Thomas Limburg is a recognised and experienced asset to our company. Mr. Limburg will be responsible for conducting and carrying out Executive Search mandates in German, English and French.

Outside of work, Mr. Limburg regularly organises charity events for the benefit of the Zurich Zoo. He is a board member of the Alumni Organisation of the University of St. Gallen and is involved in various other social and cultural organisations. Mr. Limburg is married and the father of three sons. He enjoys golf and contemporary art.
